 There are three ways to get from Kuala Lumpur to Pulau Perhentian ( Perhentian Island :

Bus and ferry: This is the cheapest option, but it takes the longest. The bus will take you to Kuala Besut Bus Station , where you will take a ferry to the Perhentian Islands. The total travel time is about 9 hours. ( You may buy ticket online or you can go to terminal bus selatan ( TBS ) 

Flight and ferry: This is the fastest option, but it is also the most expensive. You will fly from Kuala Lumpur to Kota Bharu or Kuala Terengganu ( the nearest kota bharu airport ) if you take kuala terengganu to besut its about 2 haours., and then take a ferry to the Perhentian Islands. The total travel time is about 4 hours.

Private car: This is the most expensive option, but it is also the most convenient. You can hire a private car to take you to Kuala Besut, where you will take a ferry to the Perhentian Islands. The total travel time is about 6 hours.

Boat to perhentian island ( 45 minutes ).
